FltOps.com Appoints Judy Tarver Vice President, Pilot Career Services
Florence, Alabama, March 6, 2009... Judy Tarver has been appointed Vice-President, Pilot Career Services for FltOps.com, effective March 1.
“Judy is a recognized expert in the field of aviation career counseling, and will be responsible for implementing the FltOps.com global pilot hiring database,” said FltOps.com president Louis Smith. “Given her expertise and content management skills, she will provide insightful advice and useful feedback to those planning and pursuing careers as professional pilots.”
Tarver has over 31 years of experience in pilot selection and recruitment, as a consultant, writer and speaker. As Manager of Pilot Recruitment for American Airlines, she was responsible for facilitating the hiring of over 7,100 airline pilots. As a consultant, she has worked with several major air carriers, as well as other aviation entities, including the Air Line Pilots Association and the University Aviation Association. She has also worked on several FAA committees that focused on pilot selection.
Tarver is the author of Flight Plan to the Flight Deck: Strategies for a Pilot Career, and several magazine articles that have appeared in Aviation for Women, Flight Training, Air Line Pilot and Airline Pilot Careers.
